  1. I've been using the HT Omni-Tech Sandals for the last couple of years and have been happy with them! They are a little heavier than the slip on ones but they almost never come off! http://htice.com/SCL-2/
  2. Lake St. Francis has some monsters and would assume decent numbers as I almost catch one every time I'm out there but I'm fishing for bass!
  3. Not really a big fan of the look of the new Evinrude G2's, the Merc's are little better looking, but performance is the most important feature! A motor can be as ugly as sin as long as it performs up to the advertising!
  4. Definitely bait speed and boat speed are two totally different things! The GPS units in today's units are pretty damn accurate for boat speed! Great info from some knowledgeable folks here!
  5. We don't need the snow just cold temps and no wind so we can make some solid ice! Snow just makes people forget how to drive!
  6. Looking forward to the 2nd year of this event! It was pretty decent for it's first go last year and I'm sure that it will be better this year! I'm flying on Fri. from the B.A.S.S. Team Championships on the Harris Chain and coming right up to Barrie and the SHOW! Drop into the HT Booth and say hi! I'll be presenting a couple of seminars on stage as well! Look forward to seeing everyone there!
  7. Always enjoy trips to Nipissing both summer & winter! Haven't been lately but friends who have been, tell me that the fishing is still great!
  8. Garmin Panoptix and the latest Panoptix LiveScope are technological changes that definite game changers!
  9. Congrats on the new PB!
  10. Awesome stuff! Mike is great!
  11. I still have one of those as well! Should pull it out for fun! LOL
  12. I know that the Garmin Panoptix Live Scope was instrumental in Team USA's gold medal victory down at the recent XIV Bass World Championships! Boy, did I miss my Garmins there!
  13. For those of you who might have missed Josh's Navionics webinar live. You can watch it on YouTube now!
  14. Vibrax's have been my in-line spinner of choice lately! The Double Loons were great but hard to find now!
  15. OS 4.1 or higher! Compatibility Guide: https://dbe2w38xsulyl.cloudfront.net/wysiwyg/docs/Compatibility_Guides/EN_Mobile_Comp_Guide_170614.pdf
  16. Over the years, I've had many of these moments, the most recent was on the Bay of Quinte during bass opener. I was flipping an Ultra Tungsten Arky Jig, saw my line jump and set hook as hard as I could. I thought that it felt a little heavy for a bass but I was optimistic alas a giant sheepshead destroyed my visions of a winning Largemouth Bass LOL!
  17. I've caught a few of them down on Lake St. Francis!
  18. No problem! Trust me Josh knows his stuff! I wouldn’t miss it!
  19. Yes, sadly even with a PFD on with the colder temps hypothermia is the killer!
  20. I've been fishing most of my life and am well aware that I am not even close to knowing everything there is to know about fishing! that's why I take advantage of every opportunity to watch a YouTube video, sit in on a seminar or catch a webinar live. Josh Douglas, a successful and well-known FLW Tour pro is hosting a FREE webinar next Tues. Oct. 23, 2018 and share with everyone how to Utilize your Navionics maps alongside your electronics to catch more fish. Josh is very personable and extremely knowledgeable, the beauty about catching a webinar like this live is that you can ask your own questions after his presentation. If you're like me and want to keep learning and improving as an angler go register at this link: https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/3132308909564056066?source=Navionics+Website
  21. WOW, hopefully, they find him safe & sound! Hypothermia can happen quickly with the surface temps right now!
  22. Was in the Otonabee on Friday and Saturday but chasing bass! Surface temps were 57-58 degrees F, saw 1 muskie!
  23. That's a true monster!
  24. I remember those promises as well and things have never quite worked out that way! Let's see how this new system works ou
  25. Yeah, pretty sure that treble hooks wouldn't be my first choice for heavy cover! Have never seen any weedless trebles that are truly weedless without being fishless as well! LOL
