  1. No way the guys fishing that tournament didn't know what was going on. They're just as guilty.

  2. Woo made multiple times more profit than the fine. He's a shyster, scam artist, and is known for being a scourge in the fishing industry. But some (read some) tournie anglers care more about profits than the resources. So many will defend him. Carefully note those who do - and remember it.

  3. The last few years, I have not had a chance to fish Lake Erie very often so this fall I decided to change that up. Made a total of 5 trips down to one of a truly world class Smallmouth bass fishery! The last one was just before the blow and we managed to win a small local tournament with 5 Smallies for a total of 28.98 lbs. We had some good days out there but never really caught the peak of the fall action, there is still a few days left in the season maybe we'll be able to get out one more time. Here are some beautiful Erie bronze to help us make it through a long winter!

  5. I have been thinking about picking up a small generator to use here as a backup and to use at my property up North. I was surfing on line this morning and saw that PA had a 2000W inverter generator for $499.00. I decided to drive over to Newmarket to have a look. When I couldn't find it I asked one of the staff but they didn't have any on the shelf. That young man did everything he could think of to help me, checked to see if they had any on hold that hadn't been picked up, offered to phone other stores... when he couldn't find one he even checked to see if he could discount a similar but more expensive unit but it was beyond what he could do. Along came the department manager, when he heard what was going on he intervened and was able to do a price override and gave me the more expensive unit at the same price as the one I came for. I have to tell you, I am so impressed with Princess Auto and their customer service, oh and the new generator is everything i hade hoped for and then some. 😊

  9. Yammy hands down no question. Have you ever met an unhappy yamaha owner? I haven't. All my stuff is yammy, and I have never been let down, never had a single issue with any of it. Sleds, bikes, and outboards......even guitars, speakers, PA systems....lol S.

  12. I've owned both over the years and have decided that the only engine on my boat will be a grey one. Preferably Yamaha but Honda is a close second. If you ever are down south, all you'll see is Yamaha.

  13. I have owned both and I have no problem buying either. 2014 I bought a 125 merc and a 9.9 merc. Never a problem and I am hard on equipment but for some reason Yamaha owners are like tundra truck owners no matter what ,they believe they are the best nothing else like them and he will show you how great they are as soon as they get it back from the shop they are good machines but if you google them they have problems just like the others

  14. WOW, we were out there the day before but had seen the forecast coming! Sadly lots of damaging, private properties, the docks at Crystal Beach etc. Always awestruck by the power of Mother Nature, all I know is I'm glad that we were out the day before when all we had to deal with were 5-7 foot rollers!!

  18. Yes, I wouldn't wish this on anyone except a few people living in Ottawa. 😉 Even though most people get over it quickly with no real issues I wouldn't take the chance that you could end up really sick. I don't think it's worth it.

  19. More people see boating , camping , snowmobiling as a way to do something away from the covid crowds Same with homes away from the city. And as for finding more money to buys stuff people priorities changed and so they are willing to put their money into recreation rather then their trips to Florida or Europe which they can’t do anyways

  20. Hey fellas , just wanted to update. On Lew’s advice I emailed Rapala (Nordstrom) they responded and I got a replacement lure and some stickers and a hat in the mail yesterday. Good to see a brand stand behind their product.

  21. You would think that Canada would fix this issue by now. In the USA you can get anything you need online here .... oh you want that contact a dealer that's only open til 5pm and is 100K away. I found that there are tons of fake Canadian dealers online with super inflated prices.. When you look at the contact us and the address use google to see it and find out its a field or park somewhere. Online good luck at finding specific parts... For oil and filters this year I had great success with https://www.royaldistributing.com/ Delivered in a week via purolator.

  22. A dozen years ago a musky tore this Believer apart and spit the pieces back at me. I emailed this picture to Drifter Tackle and within a couple days they sent me 2 new lures as replacements with a letter of apology for the bad lure. Good companies look after their customers, maybe try the same thing with Rapala.

  23. Check the boat for deformities on the back edge called a hook. Remove all excess weight that you have stuffed into the boat over the years. Size and change prop to a stainless steel. Out of all of these your biggest gain will be removing all of the extra crap off the boat that you do not use. Realistically you will not gain 10 mph unless you have a major issue slowing down the boat. For example a Ranger boat with 150 HP GTX (racing series motor) stainless cupped prop with little to no extra weight is doing 58 mph with a stainless and loses only 3 mph with an aluminum prop. The bottom of a bass boat in this series runs on just a pad when on plane with about a 6 x 4 ft area actually touching the water. your boat will have a much larger wetted surface and will have less improvement on changes. 25. It's been a tough year OI. Between the COVID thing and losing my dad my pup also died this summer. This crappy year can end anytime now. I've had about as much as I can handle.
