  1. Hey Guys, I know I normally write my reports on a semi annual basis, but I figured I owed my dude Taro (www.fishfishcitytours.com) a plug on here after the day we had on Simcoe with him yesterday. If youve watched Taro on Youtube you already know the guy is an absolute riot in the boat. A trip fishing with him is entertainment enough without the catching What honestly was really really finicky bite all day long with far far too many fish turning off of our baits was still absolutely one for the books. This wasnt a day where we caught and caught and caught, It took picking 1 active fish out of an entire school of monsters over and over. It took persistence, half hour boat runs for spot changes, countless bait changes and countless tactical changes. I couldnt even image how insane the day could have been if the bass werent been spooky finicky and behaved a little more "spawnish" and aggressive. One things certain Taro absolutely grinded it out for us for literally 11 and a half hours with us on the water yesterday and was prepared to go longer until a lightning storm took us off of the lake. He threw the absolute book a the fish and by the end of the day we had an absolutely stupid 5 fish 27+LB** bag...yes...you read that right...27lbs 😵 (the two 6's required a leech) without the live bait our bag was still in the 25lb range...absolutely bloody ridiculous. Heres a sample of the goods, ill upload more photos in my next report...but Oh My GOD!

  2. A prime example are the 2 steelmakers in Hamilton. Stelco and Dofasco ArcelorMittal. Since that has zero to do with this thread I will stop there. I haven't been on the site for a while as I was fairly ill. About 4 weeks a go started getting a lot of mucus in my chest and a cough then I would get shortness of breath for sometimes 20 minutes. As it got worse I made an appointment to get tested for C-19. I had to answer a series of health related questions on the phone and answered an overview of where I have been and with whom I had come in contact with. I was to immediately start a 14 day quarantine. The health worker asked if my wife who is an essential worker be able to move out of the house until results are in.. Not doable. A few days later I had an appointment to get tested at our local hospital. Went to the drive in test area and 2 nurses came out to the truck, checked my Health Card then stuck a long plastic stick up each of my nostrils until they hit the back of my sinus. Uncomfortable but not extremely painfull. Results in 3 days, negative thankfully. However the individual on the phone told me something I was surprised at. The test is only 70% accurate. That's not good. I had to complete my quarantine. A telephone appointment with my family Doc and some anti biotics faxed to the pharmacy and all is good. A few times I was somewhat concerned I might be a statistic. Once I was able to go out I was somewhat depressed how some people in our society are ignoring what our scientists and politico's are begging us to do. I see young children under their parents supervision as well as seniors basically ignoring social distancing, no masks, no social distancing. This past weekend was a scorter and the beaches here along the lake were packed. Cottages had 4 cars or more parked in the driveways and on lawns. I know they all don't live under the same roof. Blow up water toys with swimmers hanging off them were everywhere. Small swim platforms were packed with people shoulder to shoulder. If that continues we may never get out of this thing before we have Covid-20 to deal with.

  3. Oh so lets push the union stuff again. There are companies out there that do quite well without blood sucking unions to skim off the top.

  4. Public golf course means you don’t need to be a member to golf. So no you can’t trespass to fish. However if you paid to golf and you stopped at the water hazard and threw a few baits. The worst they could do is ask you to leave

  6. I love Zone 14 bass opener. I've got my milk run that I've been doing for quite a long time and it never disappoints. Water temps were 66 when I got to my spot, started off quick and that wasn't going to be the ticket today. Long bomber casts with spybaits was the pattern that worked for me today. Winds were ripping out of the west so it was bumpy out there. I did keep two fish (I know, unheard of for this guy) and one was still full of eggs. Spawn has been crazy this year. If I would have known that she would have gone back. I did however set a PB for another species I chase in Gbay, lol. The funny thing is I swear I've raised this fish 3 times over the past 4 years almost every single 4th Sat in June. It was nice to finally meet her. This is definitely her home base and today was my lucky day. I was by myself, it was chaos, I'm so happy I left my muskie gear in the boat (Net included). I tried to get a tape on her but with her not sitting perfectly straight in the net it was almost impossible and I wasn't taking her out to lay her in the boat to do that. She was a giant. I don't know if she touched 50 or over but it had to be close. She spent a few seconds out of the water for a quick pic and back in she went. Took about 5 mins to revive her, I'm glad the water temps were low. Way too long of a fight on bass gear but not much I can do about that. She righted herself and stayed a few inches below the surface for about a min or so, and I just followed her around with the boat. After that some healthy tail kicks and down she went. I'd love to meet you in the fall sweetheart when you've got a feedbag on! It was really nice to make your acquaintance.
