  1. She loved Ice Fishing as much as the boat. And she was never a worry inside the small confines of my one man flip over.

  2. we grew up together during the summers in a trailer park in Haliburton, our parents had no clue where we were during the day, they'd just hope we were alive and came back for dinner we had a tussle one day, he was as strong as an ox, with our younger brothers cheering us on, it didn't take long until he was sitting on my chest this is the first of my crew, my generation, to die from something like this please, nobody post condolences, I don't want that, just everybody appreciate their lives and the health of their family and friends

  3. I really can not put in words what this gift was and did to me. I will not get into to much, but when I got this gift from my oldest,I pretty much was very over whelmed. No matter our trials and tribulations, we both share the love of fishing. The last couple of years,we have started to understand each other more and more and reconnecting our father and son relationship ,has grown stronger. I am sure there are some here that can relate or understand. THE GIFT A 13 ft Rain shadow custom rod with custom turned seat . This rod was made by Mike Rumig . A friend of our own Spiel .I only know this as my son won this custom build earlier this year, and I had asked Chris about the builder. He said he was very good . I was happy my son had won this and was looking forward to seeing it once completed, but I did not expect it to be a gift to me .I can say this, Chris was not wrong. This is a sweet build. It is more then this ole man deserves, and I will cherish this rod til my days are done. I have to also say, it was almost built the way I would want it . I can not keep up with the young lad, but when I can get to fish with him, it is always be a great time . I have a new SST 3 that will be seated on it. Perfect combo it will make. Thanks for the great gift my son. Now to get some roe goo and slime on it. 🤣

  4. Did anyone else make it out fishing on Christmas this year? My girlfriend and I rented a Yurt on a private lake for 2 nights over Christmas. We had an amazing time! But the fishing was very slow. We tried everything we had, but only managed on perch!! We cooked Christmas dinner on the BBQ, and it turned out amazing! A few pics for ya'll.

  7. Cabelas had the toe warmers on for .97 cents. I bought the last 5 packs. The full size foot ones are $3.98 a pack of 2. I have read so many reviews on different types of these. Have yet to see 1 ,that was a solid 5 star report through out the ratings. Lots of garbage out there.

  13. Breaks, no time for breaks!!! I worked as a Heater Helper during the 90 strike. If you don't have breaks you will melt like the Wicked Witch of the West. Unless you have stood on the top of a Coke Ovens battery no one knows what hot really is. It's not just the heat, that green stuff in the air you can cut with a knife will drop you like a 303 to a lung if you don't have your respirator on. For all you guys here that think it sucks where you work should go to where Pics works for just 10 minutes. It's like being on some planet that doesn't have oxygen only black, brown, red and green toxic gasses with an ambient temperature of 120F and higher. They can go through the soles of work boots a few times a week just walking on the top of a Coke battery. You will love where you put in your time where you work. Speaking for all the pensioners dependent on you guys to keep the bucks coming in we appreciate what you and all the guys and gals down there do to keep our pensions coming in every month.
