Brenda made cherry, blueberry and apple/pecan pies so whatever I'm having before that is really just a bunch of filler so the rest of my family can get a slice of dessert too. Turkey traditionalists here, and thankful for that! Cause otherwise, Bren would take over with goose. Yuck!

Just to help you out, a lot of the recipes for tourtiere use ground beef/pork, not the same. L St Jean recipe uses cubed meat with wild mixed in if you have it. An old friend gave me one of the best cooking tips ever, go buy this and your pastry dough headaches are gone forever. I can only find it at Food Basics but some other places list it. You can roll this stuff out paper thin, it's flaky and re freeze unused portions. Never say never. T.L. has her companies 3 day conference the 1st week of Feb. I just might point the Silverado your way. I'll bring my spinning reel and rod and a box full of hardware. That's all you really need down there. I see guys using 2X2's and chain falls to fish from piers. Not required. I will also bring all my Grand Mother and Mom's Italian recipes with me. If I do come you had better go on a diet now Cliff.

Been in the trade now for close to 40 years Lew. My rep is all I have and yes I'm proud of it. The nicest part of this is. I never have to duck around the corner; if I see one of my customers coming towards me. LOL Dan.

Many of you here surely remember my little girl Brook from our Lakair adventures. Sadly a week ago today in the early evening hours (Dec 16) I had to rush her to a 24 hour emergency center to have her laid to rest. She had developed what was likely a sinus cancer that spread to her lungs. R.I.P my Angel Baby. June 30 2007 - December 16 - 2019. Shown here with me at Lakair in front of Joey and Paul's tent.
