  1. hi all, been spending some time exploring my home lake , casting as I go, got into a nice musky in 2’FOW on the edge of some reeds. Water temp is 51F and rain, rain, RAIN! This is the 2nd 40”+ musky I’ve caught in the last month or so on a small spoon, a Warden’s Worry Wobbler spoon to be exact, so much for casting all those giant cranks!

  2. Get yourself a large square bottomed musky net and you'll be happy you did, it's much easier on both the angler and the fish, specially when you can leave her laid out in the bottom of the net while you cut the hooks and then let her rest for awhile before attempting a picture.

  4. We saw the most fish on spinners but single blades out fished the double 8's and 10's color didn't matter . The big fish we saw were on bull dogs , medusala's , glide and jerk baits . My son's fish came on a all black medusala . With the cold front we did down size on most of our lures . We only caught one trolling we usually catch between 5 -8 trolling during our week when we eat our lunches or I need a break from casting my son doesn't like to troll . We caught fish in 2 ft -14 ft mostly deep edges but some off rocks and weeds .

  5. Susan Dale Bignell Sept. 17, 1946 - Oct. 4, 2017 😥 She started each day with an “I love you!” and she meant it I could tell. Then her face would light up with a mischievous grin, It was a look I knew so well. She would look at me with her big blue eyes, you could see the laughter there. Then she’d shake her head and the sunlight danced, from the streaks in her golden hair. She always had time for a hug and a kiss, she always wore a smile. No matter how busy her day became, she’d listen to me for a while. She always made me feel like a king, or at least let me think that I am. But one thing in this world I’ll never doubt, and that is that I was her man. She ended each day as it began, with one more “I love you!” Then she’d cuddle up and I’d hold her tight, you see, I loved her too! Forever in my heart! Clifford S Bignell

  6. Yes I was, no different than big pike really, I have protective gloves, all my tools close at hand. I use my walleye net with no problems. I have a GoPro mount glued to the top of my trolling motor and the camera is voice activated, so takes seconds to setup for a snap. Only one treble on the small spoon which was actually on the outside of its mouth, lucky to land it really, but made for an easy release.

  7. So you don't have to throw 3 pound bricks to catch a big Musky. They like to snack just like us.

  9. I watched John Wick latest killer flic last week. I actually wrote down how many he killed in the 1st 30 minutes. He killed 13, he got stabbed in the neck and took a blade to his liver, got hit by the same Caddy twice then shot his Doc to make it look good as he wasn't to receive any help.

  11. One of you guys should start a “Looking back” thread! where we we’re in . . .some years ago we had one. What do you do? I’m writing a short story about my evolution in the typesetting trade, from day one to today and backing it up with pictures and lots of collectibles. The changes that I have survived but MY kid have no clue what got them where they are now. Hard work. It was a long journey, no days off and it got me some amazing memories and friends. I even hired some of my teachers. Work in progress and even fishing experiences.
