  3. Not exactly what I was targeting but fun to catch regardless! Walleye population is nice & healthy on the St. Lawrence River! They love those Z-Man Diesel MinnowZ!

  6. Lots of lures, the fisherman usually creates most of the action, it's pretty easy tp tone it down. If you can cast - flip - pitch to pockets in the pads or weeds just twitching a floating rapala can work.

  7. Isn't Blue-Green algae toxic? If that is what it is; you may not want to fish there.

  11. Spinnerbaits go through weeds surprisingly well. As so spoons like a Johnson Silver minnow.

  12. My 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice is a topwater and if I have to go to 4 I'll go home. lol How thick are the weeds? Weedless spoons. Spinners with the treble removed for a single hook, I use a trailer to cover the hook point. A jighead can be rigged weedless as well.

  13. Here is a killer smoked trout dip recipe. Flake/crumble up the amount of smoked trout you want very fine. Then add a 50/50 mixture of sour cream and mayonaise (enough to get a dip texture - i don't measure things). Then add some lemon rind zest and a dash of hot sauce and some ground pepper. Mix it up and let it sit for a few hours in the fridge. Eat it on thin slices of baguette or crackers. You won't have leftovers.

  14. a few years ago i asked my neighbour to help me pull my boat for the season, he hooked my trailer up to his wife's jeep cherokee and took it over to the boat launch. i drove my boat (16 foot starcraft) around and loaded it on the trailer. Unfortuneately the weight of the boat cause the car to slide back down the ramp and into the water, I had to unhook my boat, drive it back to my place , grab my truck and flag down another truck on the highway , i hooked onto his jeep, the guy from the highway hooked onto my truck and together we pulled out the jeep and trailer. by the time we got it out of the water, the only part of the jeep that was visible in the lake was the hood., He had to take the car home and tell his wife he gave her a carwash.
