  1. I guess that you all cant take a friendly warning. Here is step two if you got a note from me you are a breath away from being modQed. Step three is coming and this thread will be erased and not allowed to be restarted. STOP mock cussing and STOP personal attacks. I am trying to be nice here but I are not going to allow this to continue. Art

  2. Hi all, Have been meaning to do this for a couple years now but never got round to it. Basically the Ling spawn this time of year and stack up. Finally made it out with a 2 hour window of opportunity before work. I thought you had to fish them at night but a buddy said they hit during the day at this time of year. He was not wrong, could not get a line down fast enough for the whole time I was there. I wanted to leave after an hour but it was so fun i stayed for 2. Lots of ice left so i think I will have to do that again before they finish their spawn and go when I have more time so I can chase lakers too.

  3. ‘‘Tis the season again. Ticks are waking up after being dormant in the cold. 4C and warmer and they are active and feeding. They are more active in spring and fall than in summer heat. Protect yourselves and remember to do a tick check at the end of the day if you’ve been in the woods or tall grass. You won’t feel a tick bite or a tick that’s feeding on you. They stay attached for 5-7 days. You need to see it and pull it off carefully by the head immediately against you skin. If you get it off early when it’s small the chance of getting Lyme disease is much reduced. Dogs should go on preventative medications now. Till about Christmas. On another note, there is a new canine tapeworm emerging in Ontario. Biologists are finding it in about 25% of wolves and coyotes. If your dog picks it up he will not likely get sick but will expose you to the tapeworm eggs. These microscopic eggs, if consumed accidentally, can cause serious health problems in people. Im putting my patients on a new monthly dewormer that gets these and other worms. To protect the dog and the family. Called Interceptor Plus. Talk to your vet. Cheers, Peter

  5. Great game last night, our speed and effort really shined, team effort in terms of playing a heavy game, had a bunch of hits from Johnsson, Nylander, Kapanen.... Fourth line was buzzing... If we can keep that momentum going forward we can take this series handily. Chara looked like a dinosaur out there... There was 2-3 plays he should have gotten hooking penalties on. I don't know who the announcer was but he kept on saying something about "veteran non call" which is ridiculous... A penalty is a penalty no matter who commits it

  6. Anyone want to take bets on who makes the predictable ‘plan the parade route’ post tomorrow? I’m putting odds on Moxie. That’s the one that doesn’t have a favourite team right? It’s so easy to forget which is which.

  8. The absolute worst worm your dog and you can get is the Vet Worm. It gets into your pockets and eats all your cash and inflicts huge costs on your charge cards and your dog gets sicker.

  9. This is probably the best one in Ottawa. I have found things here that I couldn't anywhere else local. plus, they have a pretty good website. https://www.thechandleryonline.com/ As for Great lakes skipper. I am not sure how far you are to the border but when shipping is ridiculous, we usually ship to the border (myusaddress.ca) and drive over to pick it up. Most time, this is a significant savings because the places we ship to offer free shipping within the US. The place we use charges you $5.00 a package to hold it and is very well organized.
