  2. I don't think this one has a remote? There were also some big changes to bluetooth around 2016. Guys on BBC forum will help you knowing what to buy.
  3. Yes, Minn Kota parts are widely available and some excellent repair shops around...Prop Shop, Aikman's.. A foot control (not a necessity, but a must have for me) is $350, if you add it to that used one. Complete package on sale at Cabela's :
  4. It's a 2013. Getting weary of buying used stuff!! But no way am I dropping $3000+ on a new one So do these things have a good service and parts support/network?
  5. That's great. A lot more 60" out there. thanks very much
  6. Today
  7. Finally upgraded my old workhorse Maxxum to the Terrova this spring and was now interested in a Quick Release mount. So far in my manual, it does state that composite models MKA-21 and RTA-17 are not compatible. Anyone have any positive/negative experience with these to be aware of. I would prefer something lockable but the biggest features is durability and being super solid. I've heard a few instances of some play in the mount and base plates when the motor kicks in. Thanks all
  8. Steak mushrooms and more Brussel sprouts lol. The past few years I've grown super fond of Brussel sprouts Northern pike boil. Just a basic soup. Chunk uo your northern and add it to the stock with about 4 minutes left. Super good and caused me to keep alot more pike in the 25" range Bartered a homie for some of his fish peppers to make a salsa for nachos! So good
  9. That is the same as the one I had on my 169. I'd like a foot pedal even though I used the remote 90% of the time.
  10. Yessir bunk! Never really chased any trophies last year but the numbers were insane! Also was by far my best trout year but lost alot of pics flipping the yak. And lol on the Grey beard comment. It's probably 80% Grey or more these days, and all the compliments come from women lol. So I don't mind!
  11. I'm glad I'm not the only one getting gray in my beard lol. Kayak fishing is something I'm going to be doing this year. Nice pics man
  12. Yes, the depth the motor head/prop sits below the surface of the water is completely adjustable on a TM. Longer is always better than shorter. If too short, the prop may not get enough "bite" for maximum power/control. If the water is shallow or extremely weedy where you're fishing, you can bring the motor up higher, as needed. Not sure how high the top of that bow is off the water, but 45" is probably the bare minimum for that boat. A 60" should be fine, if not preferable.
  13. Would like to attend just one show, some day! Always away working when it's on though. Some incredible bait makers, anglers and quite the fishy culture for the big toothy beasts all comes together there and it'd be sweet to meet and enjoy that vibe with others.
  14. A nice collection of fish Rick. Walleye paradise just outside your door.
  15. So the current motor is 45" shaft. Can you get away with a 60" (can these be adjusted?) ? I'm assuming that you want avoid the blades too high up in the water column.. but deeper in the water it'll still function properly?
  16. What do you think of this? https://www.facebook.com/share/9XJT4C3Zd2i3rJZk/?mibextid=79PoIi
  17. Had a great year last season with tonnes of great numbers. Hammered walleye from a kayak in a super back lake with my dad. Later flipped the same kayak in the middle of a trout lake and almost died of hypothermia lol, was a fun year!
  18. Fried pickle burger. Chicken thighs in a blueberry sauce with Brussel sprouts cooked in butter and lotsa garlic. Naked walleye baked in butter/garlic and seasoned. Last is probably the best soup I ever made and I forget what I even used in it lol
  19. Yesterday
  20. Can you explain the built in charger please?
  21. Started experimenting with more homemade soups I the past 2 years Bacon, sautéed onion and green onion then finished in broil
  22. and what are they? I see lots of cheese, but what else? Doug BTW, good to see you back on YOUR thread!!!
  23. JBs had 25% off but that regular price was well above what other shops had. I miss the Odyseey from last year. 30% off at Gagnons. I bought 2 Legend Tournaments on got a Premier graphite/fiberglass trolling rod for free lol. I grabbed a few Bulldawgs and a big blue/silver bucktail I'll be using for open water Gbay.
  24. Any form of heat welding (arc) or gas can not be used with the backing foam in place. The heat will flash the foam and contaminate the weld and or catch fire. I own and use both TiG and MIG equipment and the above reasoning from your welder is correct. There are cold welding products (epoxy) that could be used like marine tex which will be acceptable as a repair.
  25. The off brand ones are less expensive.
